Eedi coins 💰
Students earn virtual currency on Eedi known as Eedi coins. Coins can be spent on Eedi to create and customise avatars, personalise backgrounds, and enter prize draw competitions (Eedi Plus only).
Students earn coins by:
Getting questions right
Watching our lesson videos
Answering our worksheet questions.
Completing Stretch & Challenge questions.
Avatars 🤖🧑🎨
Students can express themselves by customising their own avatars! Student avatar can be seen by teachers, classmates and will appear on the global Eedi leaderboards.
Avatar items can be purchased in the Eedi Shop using virtual coins that students earn by completing work.
Themes 🌅
Students can go one step further and customise their account theme, which will change their background image throughout Eedi.

Streak points 🔥
Aside from earning coins, students can also earn virtual Streak points!
Streak points are earned by:
Finishing a Topic - 🔥 x1
Finishing a Lesson - 🔥 x2
Completing a Strech & Challenge activity - 🔥 x1
A total of 4 streaks can be earned each day, and we refresh the tasks daily so students can return to earn more! Streak points contribute towards your students' position on the Eedi leaderboards 👇
Leaderboard/Seasonal competitions 🏆
Streak points determine a student's position on the Eedi Leaderboards. The more streaks that students earn, the higher their position will be. Each week we award the top 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place students with bonus Eedi coins.
We also run seasonal leaderboard competitions with real prizes up for grabs, such as £50 gift vouchers. Students can see how they're performing on the leaderboards and compare with other students using Eedi globally, and in their school (student names are anonymised on the leaderboard for privacy)!

Class Challenges 🏅
If you use Eedi with your classes, as you set assignments, we'll automatically create class challenges. These challenges allow your class to work together to earn bonus Eedi across the class.
Higher assignment completion rates = More coins awarded!
Prize draw competitions (Eedi Plus only) 🎟️
Students with Eedi Plus can enter our prize draw competitions to win real prizes, such as Amazon vouchers, day trip tickets, tech/gadgets and more!
These competitions work like a raffle - students use their Eedi coins to purchase entries into the competition. After the prize draw date, a winner will be selected at random & their parent will be contacted with the good news!
Why can't my student spend their coins?
Students have to be linked to a parent account before they can spend their coins in the Eedi shop. This is so that if students enter any competitions to win prizes, we can contact their parent/guardian with the good news and arrange delivery.
