Learn how Eedi can help boost your students' motivation

Updated over 11 months ago

Craig's experience

"We all know it can be a struggle to motivate some students to do maths. Whilst we can never hope to inspire your students as effectively as you can, at Eedi we have built a few features to try and make learning and practising maths as fun as possible."

How Eedi helps

As your students learn with Eedi they'll earn themselves virtual rewards which they can use throughout the website to customise their accounts. Here are some of the ways we motivate students:

Eedi Coins πŸ’°

Students earn coins on Eedi for:

  • Getting questions right.

  • Watching our lesson videos.

  • Answering our worksheet questions.

  • Completing Stretch & Challenge lessons.

Eedi Shop πŸ›

Students can then spend their coins at the Eedi shop to:

  • Buy avatars to express their personality!

  • Purchase themes to spice up their background.

Class League πŸ†

This is brand-new and very exciting! The Class League is all about motivating

your students to earn streak points by completing classroom assignments and independent study. Students are ranked based on their streak points (πŸ”₯). Students can earn up to 4 streaks per day by completing the following tasks:

  • Complete a topic (1 x πŸ”₯)

  • Complete a lesson (2 x πŸ”₯)

  • Complete a stretch and challenge activity (1 x πŸ”₯)

Putting it into action

Where to find coins, streaks and the Eedi Shop:

Students can find all of the above within their Eedi accounts. As they learn and practice with Eedi they'll automatically earn themselves coins (πŸ’°) and streak points (πŸ”₯).

Students will find the Shop by going to the Shop page within their navigation bar:

Where to find the Class League:

Students can view the Class League by going to the Challenge page within their navigation bar, and then selecting the Class League section:

As a teacher you can also view your Class League by going to Analytics > Choose a class > Class League tab. The Class League allows you to see your student's avatar creations, ranking, and coin amounts.
