How to add students to your classes on Diagnostic Questions

There are a few different ways of setting your students up in your classes. You can manually add them, invite them to join your class, send us your class lists to upload or sync your data with us for automated class management.

Option 1: Manually add students to your class.

Add your students and make any class changes manually via your "Students" page. You can move students between classes in bulk, or individually.

  1. Log into your account on Diagnostic Questions.

  2. Under the "My School" section of your homepage click "Students".

  3. Use the tickboxes on the left of the page to select the students you want to add to a class. Click on the "Add To" drop down menu and choose the class you'd like to add your selected students to.

Option 2: Invite students to join their class with a class code

Send your students a class code to enter on their accounts. This will automatically add them to your class.

  1. Log into your account on Diagnostic Questions.

  2. Under the "My School" section of your homepage click "Classes".

  3. Click the "Invite Students" option next to the class you'd like to invite your students to - this will reveal your unique class code.

  4. Share your class code with your students. Once your students log into their own Diagnostic Questions account they can enter the class code on their homepage in the "Enter Class Code" section.

    If your students do not have an account they can sign up themselves here. Once their account is create they can enter the class code in the same way.

Option 3: Send your classes to us and we can import them for you

We can import your classes for you. Please note we can only import new students. Sending us existing students to import will result in duplicate accounts.

  1. Download and fill out our student upload template here.

  2. First names, last names and class names are required for every student. All other fields are optional.

  3. Password protect your document to ensure that your data remains secure.

  4. Send your document to us at [email protected]. The password to the document must be sent in a separate email.

  5. We'll aim to import your classes within 48 hours (Monday - Friday) and will contact you once this has been done.

Option 4: Set up automated class management via Wonde

You can sync your MIS (eg. SIMS) to Diagnostic Questions. This means that all class changes are automated so you don't have to manage them manually. To do this we use a trusted provider, Wonde.

For your school's connection it costs a total of Β£100 per year (excl. VAT). This cost covers the fee that we receive from Wonde to set up and manage the connection.
