What are Stretch & Challenge quizzes and how can my students access them?

What is Stretch & Challenge?

For every topic quiz on Eedi, we have a Stretch & Challenge quiz available. Stretch & Challenge quizzes are designed for students who have mastered a concept and are ready to go further 🧠

These 8-question quizzes include deeper, contextualised questions that encourage students to apply their knowledge in new or less familiar ways. The questions are challenging but also engaging, and each one comes with a video explanation.

Students type in their answers, then mark them themselves to reflect on their thinking.

How do students access Stretch & Challenge quizzes?

There are a couple of ways that students can access stretch and challenge questions:

  • At the end of a quiz session
    Once a student completes a topic, they’ll see options for their next steps. One of these options is “Take Stretch & Challenge”, which takes them straight to the activity:

  • Whilst viewing their results from a previous topic quiz
    Student can see their past quizzes by clicking on their avatar image in the top right corner, then selecting "Past activities":

    For any quiz they have completed, they'll see a "💪 Take Stretch & Challenge" button:
