What are the benefits of inviting parents to Eedi?
Parent reports
When parents register they'll create their own Parent Hub where they can see their child's activity, results, and stats on how they are performing. We also keep them informed by sending them regular performance reports.
Motivational elements for students
Once parents register their child will be able to spend their coins in the Eedi Shop to purchase virtual items, such as avatars and background themes.
Option to subscribe to Eedi Plus
Eedi is also free for parents, but they have the option to subscribe to Eedi Plus to unlock additional benefits for their child, such as on-demand tutor support.
How to invite parents to Eedi
You can invite parents to Eedi either in bulk using general or student specific invitations, or choose to invite them individually. Here's how 👇
Select a class to view in your left-hand navigation bar.
Go to your Admin page and view the Parents tab.
To bulk invite parents with one general invitation:
To the right of your page you'll see a General invitation section. Click on the "Download download 1 generic letter (PDF)" button to download your PDF invite.
You can also choose to "Copy Email" which will open up a preview of our general invitation message. Doing this allows you to tailor the message you'd like to send to parents.
To bulk invite parents with student-specific invites:
To the left of your page you'll see Student specific invites section. When you click on the "Download [x] letters (PDF)" button you'll have a couple of options to choose from:
Single PDF with all letters - best for printing will download 1 PDF file containing all invitation letters for parents. This is the best option if you're printing letters.
Individual PDFs will download each invitation letter as separate PDFs. This is the best option for inviting parents via email, as you can include each specific attachment.
Please note: Student specific invites will only be available for students who don't already have parents connected.
To invite parents individually
At the bottom of your page you'll find an Invite parents individually section. This gives you a view of which students in your class already have parents signed up.
To invite a parent individually, click on the "Send Invite" button. You can then enter their email address and we'll send them an email with instructions on how to register.
Once a parent has been invited this way, you'll see "Invite Sent" next to their details.
How do students invite their parents?
This is done in 4 simple steps:
Students must log into their Learning Hub.
Click on their avatar in the top right corner of the page.
Click Invite your parent.
Enter their parent's details (we'll need their name and email address).
We'll send an email to their parent with information on how they can create their free account 🙂
